Actually two signs, one a warning, and one at the point the bus lane starts. In addition, there is the wide white line that should have also alerted you.
However, before final advice can be given, we need to see the video, so obtain it and post it here. If you don't know how, post up the reg number of your vehicle, and the PCN number. It's not looking good, though.

I've lodged an appeal over the weekend and will let this forum know how the outcome goes.

It's unfortunate that it looks as if I was driving too fast and remained in the bust lane but in the time I had to react I felt it safer to stay in the bus lane oppose to swerving back into the lane. The bus lane literally finishes just out of shot and I had to enter that lane too.

Arer you sure there is no other sign ? Although the carriageway has "Electric Vehicles Only", there must be a sign or the offence did occur..

Their only evidence of the alleged contravention is a video taken from a CCTV camera. You need to obtain this and post it here.  If you don't feel confident enough, then post your car reg number and PCN number and somebody here will obtain it. Something seems quite odd here. A PCN for the ULEZ I could understand as the signs are clear,  but not a restriction on motor vehicles as there are no signs.

If you're running out of time, submit representations stating that at the location concerned there are no signs that bar motorvehicles, so you cannot understand how the PCN has been issued to you.

Please post the PCN, (all sides)  as we have yet to see an Oxford one for this low emissions zone. Only blank out name and address.

You do need to rapidly get up to speed on these zones because they're going in all over the place, and the councils are dining out very generously on the proceeds. Just so you are aware, a petrol car built before about 2003 and diesel before 2015 are not compliant with the emissions limits for these zones. The recent ULEX expansion in London covers the whole of the London area and the PCN penalties are eye-watering.

The Oxford scheme is for zero emissions vehicles, so even a low-emission vehicle must pay. This is the only zero zone I'm aware of.

Oxford has gone completely barmy, but barminess seems to be catching on !

Our administrator, CP8759 is closely involved with the judicial review on all similar cases, so will no doubt commment soon.  It seems that TfL are now playing hard-ball with PCN recipients with identical circumstances.  What you will need to do is register an appeal at London Tribunals. The JR date is not far off, as I understand it. I would certainly not pay the PCN.

Is your vehicle definitely non-compliant with the ULEZ compliancy rules ? There have been one or two cases where there was a dispute about compliancy.

Post the PCN (all sides), please, we need to see it as we don't often see PCNs from Bridgend. It may contain fatal errors.
