Many thanks for all the assistance. Initial representation has gone to Dart Charge and we will see what happens.


Apologies for the late reply but family matters took precedent.

Yes, I am the registered keeper.

I have no idea why the pcn took so long to get to me…. Royal Mail I guess.


I remember reading on pepipoo there was precedence set that Dart Charge couldn’t add the charge to the pcn and that it rendered it invalid.

Any ideas?

This was from Reddit, is it still applicable?

“Do nothing and wait, you have paid the fee, if the system works as intended nothing will happen , occasionally things go wrong and they'll issue some form of penalty for nonpayment, your bank statement will clearly say that you've paid before the penalty for non payment was issued rendering the penalty unlawful, you will then appeal on these grounds and they will accept your appeal.

If you'd left it beyond a certain point the system won't accept payment and that's a whole different situation.”
