This is the rejection notice:

https://ibb.co/DP04mD0P

The vehicle is owned by my limited company Audioelements (Scotland) Limited and I was the one who parked.

2
I paid the first before the fee doubles and challenged the 2nd with continuous contravention.

They have rejected the continuous contravention.

I'm on the First Tier Tribunal. Any advise before I proceed?

What do you think the chances of winning if I challenge the drop kerb?

Or should I just pay the first before the fee doubles and challenge the 2nd with continuous contravention?

If the van did'nt move the second one should be cancelled as a continuous contravention.

Massive thanks for this very useful information!! Looks like I should now be able to get the 2nd ticket cancelled:

"I am writing to formally challenge Penalty Charge Notice number [Insert 2nd PCN Number] issued on 7th July at 09:25. This ticket was issued less than 22 hours after a previous ticket, PCN number [Insert 1st PCN Number], which was issued to the same vehicle at 11:59 on 6th July. *The vehicle was not driven or moved at any point between the issuance of these two notices. As the vehicle remained stationary in the exact same location, this represents a single, unbroken 'continuous contravention'. It is a well-established principle of parking law that a motorist cannot be penalized twice for the same ongoing restriction breach. I request that this second PCN be cancelled immediately."

The historic streetview images show the kerb /layout better (2018 is free of cars and the structure/lineing looks unchanged)

It does looks like the kerbline is low for the whole length of the street and has been raised at the start of the yellow lining as part of the pavement buildout from the original kerbline, to then allow it to then be dropped to create the obvious crossing point on the corner.
I don't see how they can claim it to be a crossing point when it is so obstructed by the telephone box, lamp post and no entry sign post - and had it been intended to be a crossing point then the yellow lines should have been extended to stop parking at it.

Normally a dropped kerb provides some sort of access.
That's the most bizarre dropped curb I have seen with a telephone box blocking access.

These was my exact thoughts too. However, will the fact that the front of the van is slightly over the end of the double yellow lines mean that I'm still breaching parking convention 101?

The van was left for two days as I thought that as the double yellow line defined the start of the parking restrictions and the 'dropped kerb' I was parked parallel to, runs to the other end of the road (as in they will have raised the kerb to make the one on the actual corner more prominent - you can clearly see where they have reworked the pavement to raise the kerb for the corner crossing). There is a telephone kiosk there so how can they claim it's a know crossing point?

Glasgow City Council PCN - Parking adjacent to a dropped Kerb at a know crossing point - Whitehill St, Dennistoun, Glasgow.

I know I have left this way too late to get advice as I only have 2 more days before the reduced fine doubles, but, any advice would be greatly received.

“Parking adjacent to a dropped Kerb at a know crossing point”.

Is my van illegally parked? Is it because the front of the bumper might be a few centimetres over the yellow end?
Are they classing the ‘dropped kerb’ the second one adjacent to the telephone box? I appealed as I stated that the dropped kerb was at least 6ft away from the front of the van but they upheld both tickets.
