I was planning to appeal today. Then realised that 28 days already passed. So thought of paying the full amount but their payment system is down. It goes till pay PCN screen that shows the pending amount 130 then throwing error screen further for payment. It happens irrespective of inputting PCN number.

I thought replied back on this PCN few days back 2 times. But I can't see my replies. So posting again.
Why parked on yellow lines ? : Blue batch was in use during the parking. But the officer said can't park where there are yellow marking on the kerb. Please see the pictures ( kerbPic1 and KerbPicWithCar ) there are no visible marking on the kerb where the car was parked.
contravention code: 02 : waiting and loading/unloading restrictions are in force
I was in the car when the officer booked the PCN. But I can't see myself in the picture, that is strange !! .

Can I appeal on the basis of code 02 but no kerb marking where the car was parked ?

I parked my car in a double yellow line for 2-3 min. When I returned the officer had booked PCN and gave it to me.
I am ready to pay 50% of the amount , £65 and close the PCN. But initially waiting for the PCN letter to come by post like other PCN to make 50% payment. This is the first time received PCN directly from the officer.
Then I realised that may be not letter will come this time because I received the PCN on the spot. When I tried to make a payment today ( 17/11/2024) it says £135 as outstanding.
PCN booked on 25/10/2024
What shall I do ? Pay the full amount of £135 and close the PCN ? Any other options.

Thanks for your advise on my request on the charge certificate received from newham council. Spoke to the council and I was told that they will pass the details to the other team to review the case.
Subsequently I received a call from council and told that they will adjust the accounts and cancel the charge certificate.

Dear All,
Received a charge certificate from Newham Council to pay £195 within 14 days. The background is as below.
1) 26 Oct 2023 PCN date : PCN PN74212058, reg: EF59XOS,Contravention 53J , contravention date 16/10/2023
2) 27 Nov 2023 appeal sent and subsequently rejected ( don't have copies )
3) 07 Feb 2024 : Online showed the pending amount to pay is £65
4) 07 Feb 2024 : Paid the outstanding balance £65 on the same day. Sadly quoted incorrect PCN number ( input my old PCN PN73285351, previous car reg: EF59XOS) )
5) 06 Mar 2024 : Received charge certificate
The current PCN account shows outstanding to pay £195. Whereas the old PCN shows a credit of £65.
To summarise I have paid the full outstanding PCN ( charge certificate) amount on 07 Feb 2024 but went into wrong account because I haven't input the correct reference (PCN No.). The other PCN account shows £65 in credit.
What can be done in this scenario to cancel the charge certificate ?

Hi,
It was my first visit to Chelmsford 10 days back. I was confused when I saw "BUS GATE" written on the road under a bridge in Duke Street, Chelmsford. The road was not painted in red. So I passed through the road and subsequently got a PCN "34J Being in a bus lane".
Road marking did not say as bus lane nor the road surface painted in red.
Please advise if there is any ground to appeal.

I didn't receive any reply by post as of today for the appeal. So out of curiosity I checked the PCN status on TFL website and found the appeal as rejected on 09th Nov, as below.
09 Nov 2023 Rejected Representation - Discount Period Reset. TFL has rejected a representation for this PCN. The discount period has been reset for a specific duration.
I didn't receive any rejection letter so far.
Should I ask them to send the rejection letter or go for final challenge, only a few days left if consider 28 days.

I challenge liability for PCN GX10193723 on the basis that the alleged contravention did not occur. This is because while my vehicle did stop within the yellow box markings, that stop was not caused by the presence of stationary vehicles, as the video clearly shows that there is ample space ahead of my vehicle outside of the box.
It follows that the PCN must be cancelled.

3) I did not obstruct any vehicles coming from any other directions.
It follows that the PCN must be cancelled.

Hi,
I received the attached PCN for “Entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited” from TFL. By looking at the video there was no stationary vehicle in front on entry into the yellow box. When I reached the other end of the box slowed down/stopped ( 3 Secs ) as I thought exited the box. But realized that I have to go forward a bit more to clear the box. So moved a bit and cleared the yellow box.
I don’t seem to obstruct any vehicle coming from any directions.
So to summary my points on appeal could be
1) At the point of entry no other stationary vehicle was inside the box on my path.
2) Momentarily slowed/stopped for about 3 secs at the other end then exited the box
3) On the whole, I did not obstruct any other vehicles coming from any other directions.
Experts in the group please advise on the correct points and wording to appeal. Any help is greatly appreciated.
