No disability. Does the 0845 route have any traction?

0845 should have traction.
Looking at the size of the venue, I'd expect a responsible parent to see that an 11yr old daughter as safely delivered to those responsible for the function she was attending.

whist waiting for the NtO, draft something around the the two points (and add failure to consider) then post the draft here for comment.

Hello All,

I got the same PCN issued on 11/02/2026, date of contravention 31/01/2026.

. . .

Thank you.

For advice on your own case please have a read of
https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/read-this-first-before-posting-your-case!-this-section-is-for-council-tfl-dartme/

And start your own thread with a brief account of the circumstances and your questions as you outlined here, and post up there all sides of the PCN and a GSV link to the location.
Only redact yr name and address from docs - leave all else in.

Interesting that, in the rejection letter, Croydon have changed the telephone number from 0845 3000 614 to 0345 3000 614.

Please also post a GSV link to the location.

Please post a copy (not a transcript) of the whole rejection letter, redacting only yr name and address -  leave all else in.

Did you obtain a copy of the video?

In any case, I assume from your response that you do not believe these would be grounds for an appeal and that I should simply pay the fine and not attempt an appeal.

I would be grateful for any alternative views.

Please accept an apology for my speed-reading first thing in the morning and missing the circumstances, latching on to yr penultimate paragraph.

Given the circumstances, I think yr cases lies astride the narrow line between the statutory exemption of assisted boarding and mitigation. Whilst it may or may not succeed in an appeal to Tribunal, it is certainly worth making a challenge to Merton - if/when they reject, they should re-offer the discount.

Draft a challenge with a full account of what led to the PCN, appealing to their better nature,  and post it here for comment.

All DYLs are operational 24/7.
There are some very limited exceptions (for only as long as is necessary) e.g. assisted boarding/alighting, loading/unloading (unless there are kerb blips) which do not seem to apply in this case.
Time to blow the dust off yr copy of the Highway Code?

the "neighbour principle" (was it reasonably forseeable that dumping my parcel on my doorstep in plain view of the street might lead to it being stolen?),

I don't think Evri could plead it was unforeseeable especially in view of the recent rash of bad media coverage including

Please check the links as I'm unable to open them.

appears to have been a temporary blip - seems to be working now.

Hi there everyone, I have just received exactly the same PCN for exactly the same reasons. Could anyone help me too please?

Thank you

Indeed the sign is there, I must have "hopped" too far in GSV. So the presence of this sign is your Get Out Of Jail Free card. So you need to register an appeal at London Tribunals; I can't see how you could fail to win.
+1 (and don't forget the absence of signage where you re-entered Zone A)

As per the letter from H&F, the next stage is for them to send the RK a NtO.
Your reps will be substantially the same (no more "I was driving"!) so you may as well prepare a draft and post here for comment, ready for when the NtO arrives.

Hello, I have got a PCN for the same place and i had followed the advice given here previously to appeal to Croydon Local Authority but now have received a rejection. I would like to know what to do next. Sorry for re-opening this thread but didnt see updates on this from original poster on the final outcome so thought to check what to do for my case.

Appreciate your help on this. Thanks..
