The shear incompetence of this council in all its traffic management duties is palpable.  I would hope the OP will consider taking the matter to London Tribunals. Yes, the full PCN penalty will be in play, but one would think an adjudicator will see how stupid the council are being; their letter of refusal shows how much !

I'd be willing to if I can get sufficient support/information to defend myself with.
It's two tickets I'm dealing with so double to risk (and likewise reward).

Essentially, this is no different from the other threads.

Contrary to regulations, at the location there are DYL marked other than at the 'edge of the carriageway'.

Thanks for your reply.
I'd be grateful if anyone could kindly dumb this down for me a bit.
Which regulations are being referred to?

Also, can anyone link any threads for me that this is similar to. I'm new to the forum and have had a look around and couldn't find anything, which is probably due to my limited abilities to search/find.

Also, has anyone taken a similar ticket to tribunal and how did that go?
Thanks

We had two tickets (two cars from the family parked close to each other).
We appealed both at the same time.
One of them got a response quite soon and has been rejected, but they've literally listed no reason, as you can see in the image below. They've not given a method of appealing other than waiting for the "notice to owner", at which point there's no chance to pay the £65 reduced amount.
Any thoughts on best course of action?

Is the fact they've not given any grounds for rejection itself a potential defence?

What was your PCN for?
Have you got a separate thread going for you one? If so, kindly link.

Hi have you managed to appeal and what’s the outcome
I made the informal appeal and it’s rejected

Sorry, I just realised that if you tell the bot at the beginning you don't want any help, it takes you straight to the appeals page which, btw, is a bit confusing too.

Good evening
I think tonight is the deadline for me to appeal the ticket.
I've been through the council website and pressed the button to appeal which took me to an annoying bot which asked me a bunch of questions and eventually asked me if I still want to appeal. When I said I did, it doesn't do anything. Does anyone know if there's a direct link for an appeal portal that doesn't require going through this bot?

This was the page before:

That satellite picture is probably from a while ago. The lines may have faded even more now, if they were there.

As for the double yellows, would they not apply to the carriageway, as opposed to the lay-by (or whatever it's called). Also, if the box does really end towards the left, what then becomes the designation of this Eastern part (where we had parked)?

It's evidently not pavement.

Therefore, would it not basically be without any sign and hence cannot have enforcement?
I don't know if that's an official thing, but I've heard before that if the sign for a particular bay is missing then they can't give you a ticket....

So, the big question is, what's the best way to appeal?

I've taken a screenshot from the satellite for the location with Xs on the two parking spaces.

Will appreciate any further thoughts or links to related cases.

Coincidentally our brother got a PCN just after we did and he was parked 2 cars behind us and I dont think there's any doubt about him being inside the bay. If there were bay markings there they must have faded out as we didn't notice anything.

Here's his PCN and pictures

Thanks in advance for everyone's help. Sadly, some unforeseen family emergencies prevented me from attending to this until now and I think I have 2 days left to appeal.

We parked in a bay that said it was only restricted Mon-Sat. It was apparently an event day (Sunday 17th November at London Stadium) but the sign didn't say that there were any restrictions on event days for that bay.

I believe other bays in the area have signs that indicate event-day restrictions. We've been back and double checked and didn't find any signs anywhere near that bay mentioning event days.

I have read some other cases on the forum relating to event-day PCNs in Newham and some people having success appealing. The difference in those cases was that the signs actually displayed some sort of event-day restrictions whereas this sign doesn't mention anything. I'm hoping that makes our case an easier win.
