Surrey police will almost certainly know you have been offered a course for the first offence and so will offer you a fixed penalty (£100 and 3 points) for the second.
I may be wrong but I think you have the details of your two offences the wrong way round. You say that the first ticket is from the end of June and the second from the end of March.
Yes, that is what I want to do (bold above).

I am just wondering how Surrey Police procedure will work, whether they might take into account date of reply for 2nd ticket.


I corrected 1st post, you may have been reading before I corrected, was editing.

the 1st ticket course to cover for the 2nd ticket.


Whether I reply quickly before course on Wed or defer course for 1-2 weeks,
that might help in that I replied for 2nd ticket before I have done course for 1st ticket.

In that Surrey Police might consider date I replied (2nd ticket) against date I am due to do course (1st ticket) in their procedure.

I have just received 2nd speeding ticket from Surrey Police.

2nd ticket
71mph on M23 southbound, junction 8/9 near M25 junction.
Variable speed limit was 60mph, no roadworks, road empty, dry no rain good weather.
~2:30am end of June.

Still to respond to this 2nd speeding ticket.


I am due to do Speed Awareness Course on Wednesday this week for 1st speeding ticket from Met Police.

1st ticket
25mph on A23 Brixton Road, South London, heading North.
20mph speed limit.
~6:30am end of March.


Any advice on how to respond to 2nd ticket with Surrey Police when I am due to do Speed Awareness Course Wednesday this week for 1st ticket.

How Surrey Police will see this, what they will do, what they might offer ?


Is there any way to use Speed Awareness Course I about to do against 2nd ticket ?

Would it help if I reply to Surrey Police for 2nd ticket before I have done the Speed Awareness Course for 1st ticket on Wednesday, that is date on reply is before course date ?

Would it help to defer course for 1st ticket for 1-2 weeks, so there is more time before I do course, so my reply to Surrey Police arrives 1-2 weeks before course and Surrey Police see I am due to do course ?
