Thanks Incandescent, I’ve advised my partner to take the hit and pay the discounted rate. I think the tickets are fair, it’s just a shame they didn’t offer the first strike discount but we won’t risk the fines increasing by appealing again. Thanks again, as always

Hi, I appealed theses fines using the information I found on here re the councils 1st strike policy - photo attached. My appeal was rejected. I wonder if I should appeal again or let it go, as the 1st strike policy appeals to be a good willl gesture and I understand they don’t have an obligation to cancel any fine. Tbh, for two of the fines the 50% discount period had lapsed when I appealed and they have offered the reduced payment for all three fines so I wonder if I should just take that a win. I’ve attached the three original fines and one rejection letter (as they are all exactly the same). TIA

Just to update - this fine has been cancelled. Thank you so much for all the help. I have added the response I received to the drive folder and also pasted the text below, in case it helps anyone else. Thank you again!

Thank you! I thought the same - apparently it was previously a hotel and then pub!

Posting for a friend, who is the registered keeper but cannot recall who was driving. They live close by so unlikely the driver sat in the car park but possibly rather cut through the car park on two occasions on the same day. I have asked for a better photo of the PCNs and will update. Any advice greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Thanks Pastmybest, appreciate the offer and will update of course.

Yep Incandescent, I think I just wanted reassurance that I wasn’t being really daft about the way I interpreted sign etc because it seemed such an obvious error that I thought they would cancel it as soon as I made my first representations. I assume they just gamble that people will get scared when rejected and just pay up maybe.

Oh brilliant, I assumed either a fob off or I was missing something very obvious and happy it’s the former.

Will proceed as advised and update if they reject me at the next stage.

I actually work in the pub so if you’re ever nearby, drop me a private message with your name and the first pints on me!

Thanks again Incandescent, really appreciate your time

Thanks Incandescent, so I was assuming it was much simpler than that, in that the bay says it is ‘enforced’ from 8am-5pm and my ticket was issued at 17.30 (observed 17.25 - 17.30)?

The rejection letter even says ‘If the rule applies some of the time only, the sign shows these times’.

Am I being completely silly and missing something very obvious here?

Thanks again

Hi, please see folder for PCN and rejection of appeal images. I can’t find the appeal letter on my PCN file but it was to the point that the offence was outside of restricted hours.

Location is the first bay outside of the London Apprentice pub, TW76BG - sorry not sure how to link to google maps.

Thanks in advance
