Haha, I’ll have that sent them as the reply then 🤣

A reply from UKPC has now been received. What would be the next step please?

If the appeal is won is the £35 fee from Enterprise refunded or is that lost regardless?

4
The options for 'appeal reason' are:

Blue Badge Holder
Working on site
Genuine customer
Other

So 'other' has been selected and then 'Relationship to vehicle' has to be answered with the only options being:

Driver
Registered keeper
Driver and registered keeper

So what should be selected here?

Yes, it was the hirer that received the notice and that one page (front and back) is all that was received.

The driver received this yesterday through the post (22nd October) from UKPC for 'not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space' at the Metrocentre in Gateshead. The 'Parking Charge Date' is 10th October and the letter is dated 18th October. This is a hire van.

The driver entered the car park about 6pm ish and left about 8:30pm ish and they parked like this because the van would not fit in any of the bays and because it's a hire van did not want to get it damaged with other people banging it with their doors etc so tried to find a space well away from the entrance and away from anyone, however, clearly in some of the photo's other cars ended up parking at that end as well.

The driver went into the Metrocentre to do some shopping and get some food.

Any help from you guys is appreciated, even if it isn't what the driver wants to hear. Thanks

QUOTE: Exactly, CEO's CANT know individual circumstances, and therefore, mitigating personal circumstances are a valid retort

Nah, that would make the clock absolutely pointless in every case due to CEO's having to assume every driver struggled with the time. I can see that argument being given very short shrift indeed. Presumably if you were going for that argument then you would need proof, like medical records for example.

10
Is that a joke rep?? How do they expect CEO's to know every drivers personal circumstances??

And as far as I know CEO's aren't 'incentivized' at all. Makes no difference to them whether they issue one or fifty.

Surely that rep can't end up being a winner.

Can I just ask what is the point of this bus lane/gate? I've seen this one on here a few times now. It looks incredibly short, only fit one bus, and even then it looks like they have to give way to the cars passing on the right. Looks like it doesn't actually serve any purpose.

12
Anybody got any input on this before I send it off when I get home from work later?

So she has typed out a representation which I have just copied and pasted below. Looks to me that it might want a bit of a tidy up. What do you think?

I would like to submit informal representations RE: PCN YN07587327

When parking 25/01/24 I looked at the previous days scratch card which was dated 24/01/24 and so as I’m a retard I started to scratch off 24th on the new scratch card when I noticed on my watch it said 25th.
Because of the limited number of scratch cards available I didn’t want to waste one and therefore scratched off 25th.
None of your evidence shows the scratch card had been used 24th- it wouldn’t as this was a mistake of mine.

I would like to add that I have tried on numerous occasions to get an A2 parking permit. As a Shop owner in Scarborough I am entitled to a permit however the council still, after 6 months, haven’t issued me with a rates bill to allow me to pay for the permit hence why I didn’t want to waste a scratch card.

Based on the information above I am appealing on your good will to overturn this ticket.

Yes, the V5C is up to date. She says she will make a plea on the grounds she's a bit of an idiot (not quite the word she used)  ;D

Shall I post it on here before sending?
