Speeding and other criminal offences / Speeding Fine

Hi
Looking for some advice
I was stopped by police check roadside for speeding 41 in a 30. They told me i would be sent on a speed awareness course
This was in February & i have been waiting for letter
Today i received a letter saying i have to pay £100 & 3pts or the option of going to court
There was no option for the awareness course
as i was advised
What is the best way to proceed with this
As i would prefer the original option of the course
Would be grateful for any advice
