Camden Council relied upon a Traffic Management Order that was approved on the basis of signs that no longer existed at the time of the alleged contravention.
Traffic Management Order 2020/26 implemented in February 2021, the restriction at Tottenham Court Road was signed using prominent RED “No Entry” signs with exemption plates beneath. I produced historical Google Street View imagery showing them.
I then produced evidence showing that, by the date of the alleged contravention, those signs had been replaced by blue restricted-route signs.
Did Camden Council ever seek permission from the Highway Authority to use a blue background instead ?
