I was about to respond with this below. Generated by AI. Let em know what you think

I am challenging this Parking Charge Notice on the grounds that no contract was formed.

Your own evidence shows the vehicle was stopped for less than one minute. This is not parking; it is a brief stop while the driver attempted to read and understand the terms displayed.

Under the BPA Code of Practice (Section 13), operators must allow a minimum 5‑minute consideration period for drivers to read the signage and decide whether to stay. Issuing a charge for a stop of under one minute is a clear breach of this requirement.

If you are an IPC operator, the IPC Code requires that signage must be clear, prominent, and readable before a driver enters into any contract. A stop of under one minute is not sufficient time to locate, approach, read, and understand the terms.

Because the driver was not afforded the required time to read the terms, no contract could have been formed, and therefore no parking charge is payable.

Please cancel this charge or provide a POPLA/IAS code so the matter can be independently reviewed.

Great, thank you. What I understand from what you said is that I have a certain amount of time in the location to read and understand the conditions before a notice is valid. I'll appeal and be prepared to take it further as suggested

Hi, first time here. I've had tickets before but I will usually pay them as they've been fair (although barely).

Received a parking charge notice today from PCM. I know what happened and I'm wondering if this can be appealed. The vehicle pulled into a side road that goes nowhere next to a station in London to pick up a passenger. There was no parking so the car stopped next to the parked cars, passenger dropped the bags in the boot, got in and the car drove off. Stopped for less than a minute, just a few seconds if you look at the time stamps on the evidence. Car wasn't technically parked, wasn't blocking anyone or anything it was just a pick up on the side of the road.
The picture shows a no stopping sign but they've sent a parking notice, is this legal as I was stopped and not parked?
Any advice would be appreciated. I'm hapy for this top go to court and argue the case if it comes to it
Thanks

If it's preferable I embed links into the post, let me know and I'll do that

Private parking tickets / Parking Charge Notice for "Stopping"

Hi, first time here. I've had tickets before but I will usually pay them as they've been fair (although barely).

I received a parking charge notice today from PCM. I know what happened and I'm wondering if this can be appealed. I pulled into a side road that goes nowhere next to a station in London to pick up a friend. There was no parking so I just stopped next to the parked cars, he dropped his bags in the boot, got in and I drove off. I can't say exactly how long I was there but I don't think I was technically parked, I wasn't blocking anyone or anything it was just a pick up on the side of the road.
They've sent me two pictures that are tiny and I can't see my number plate form them in fact I can barely recognise my car, I guess the picture will be better if I log into the website and I don't want to do that until I know where I stand. The time stamp is one second apart on the pictures which doesn't indicate stopping to me.

Let me know what you think and if you need any more info.

Thanks
