Private parking tickets / Smart Parking Ltd NTK – Parked in excess of the permitted free time

Good morning. I would very much appreciate your advice on whether you think this PCN can be successfully appealed. Having done some reading the NTK appears to have been issued too late in relation to POFA 2012 and the 14 day period
I've read the Read This First post and have put together the below:
Upon entering the car park, the driver found a space, parked up, and got into their friend's car. They then ordered takeaway to the friend's vehicle from a business at the location. When they left the car park they had exceeded the free parking period. On 7th May, I, the registered keeper, received a PCN through the post”
I am the registered keeper of the vehicle and have possession of the V5C
I couldn't fit the address into the subject. The address is Salendine Shopping Centre, Huddersfield HD3 3XA
