Honestly no excuse but was on the way to a funeral i also lost my Mum earlier in the year i am self employed need to drive as a mobile mechanic and am the only person that brings any real form of income in, my elderly father also lives with me he does still drive but not that far anymore he is almost 82 so he also relies on me for getting him around alot

Got caught by a mobile camera back in November on a dual carriageway 70mph doing 100mph stupid i know but i have been charged and now have to decide plead guilty not guilty etc i have no problems in pleading guilty as it was me, im 50 years old clean licence up until now part time care for elderly parent so no longer work full time wife has also retired due to health issues is there any point in hiring a solicitor on my behalf to deal with this or just fill in the plea and give mitigation as to try not to get a ban
