Have just now received a letter from DCBL, Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd, each to the sum of £170 per ticket.

Can this be ignored?

Think that link isn’t working. This is the email response to my appeal.

But was the appeal made as 'keeper' or 'driver'?

Have you had an appeal response?
:'(

Just got a response now.

I assume I should just ignore?

Registered keeper. I would not mention anything to do with being the driver.

No response yet.

Noted on the taping. I’ve just started paying using Just Park for £7 per day.

The appeal I simply wrote ‘nowhere to pay’ and uploaded two images of their website not listing the location and the sign in the car park. I realise now this is due to the fact it’s just a max 2 hour stay, they don’t allow any pay to park spaces.

There is  no keeper liability in Scotland, doesn't mean they won't try court for that sort of money, especially if the have evidence of a deliberate attempt to defraud, I.e. the tape over the plate. That was not a clever move.

Probably not, but it was under advice of others that I worked with and still do that. I know now I guess.

Private parking tickets / PLEASE HELP - EURO CAR PARKS £1000 FINE!
« on: March 31, 2026, 04:44:48 pm »
Hi,

I have recently been working at a site in Aberdeen in which we were told to park next door at Morrisons and just tape our number plates. I had been doing so however I have received 10 (TEN) fines from ECP claiming £100 per fine. Obviously I do not wish to pay this, I have looked it up and think as long as they don’t know who was the driver it should be fine? However i’m wary that £1000 worth of fines may be worth their while chasing in court. Can someone please advise.

There is no way to pay to park, it’s a max stay 2 hours car park.

Side note - I have parked there the full month of March - Why don’t I have more fines? Have they given up?

Anyway the first fine is due by tomorrow. I did appeal one simply stating ‘nowhere to pay’ but did not reveal who was driving. Trying to plead ignorance really.

What should I do? I would pay one if i absolutely must, but i’m not paying 10.

*Today I used JustPark.co.uk to park there as they have all day parking available there for £7? Unsure if this is right, but at least I can say I was paying to park there if I receive any fines.
