@RichardW i had my licence a long time and no points. Would this avoid a ban?

Hi,
I have been caught doing 52 in a 30mph road by a mobile van. It was at night on my way to work.
I honestly didn’t know Thais was a 30mph road there is not a sign on the road.
I don’t have any convictions or speeding fines
I have been reading it would’ve considered as band C
In your opinion what would I expect?
If I go through the legal advice of the insurance would they be helpful?
Could the “no sign” work in my favour?
