Hello, I’d really appreciate some guidance on how to respond.

When entering the car park, the driver was feeling unwell and stayed in the vehicle for roughly an hour. They did not leave the car at any point, so they did not see or check any signage. Any earlier PCN or Letter Before Claim has either been misplaced or was never received, so the driver is unsure of the original details. The registered keeper has now received an N1SDT with an issue date of 20 January 2026 and has not responded to this or to any previous correspondence.

I’m hoping to avoid paying £250 at this time of year, especially for something that feels like a bit of a ruse. Looking at Google Maps, the site resembles an old petrol station and the signage appears unclear or unreadable. I’d prefer not to revisit the location to take photographs, assuming it remains in the same condition as it was at the time of the alleged incident on 09/08/2025.

Unfortunately, I don’t have much more information. The original PCN likely looked like a scam and was thrown away, along with anything sent by Gladstones. I almost discarded this form as well, as I tend to be very cautious. I’ve attached the first page of the N1SDT for reference:  https://ibb.co/bjc9LLhK
