Have added pics from today of the junction. Seems the signs are there, I ignored them assuming they were width restrictions and was paying attention to the road and the upcoming left turn and speaking to my partner who I'd just picked up. I guess its a fruitless exercise trying to win this one?

Newbie here,
Just received a PCN for driving westbound on Leahurst rd in Hither Green. A notoriuos junction it seems.
I came in from Hither Green Lane down Ennersdale rd to pick up my partner at Hither Green station at midnight after the trains were diverted. There was nobody on the streets, I wasn't aware of any driving restrictions, in fact there aren't any restrictions coming in from that direction but going back the same way, there are.
Going back, I needless to say, didn't notice anything, it looks like every other suburban street in the area with cars parked on both sides of the street and it being very late and dark, nothing stood out as unusual and why would anyone assume you can't drive back the way you came unless there was a 'no entry' sign or '1 way street' sign. The sign only appears once you are actually upon it, so there is nowhere to turn around and go back.
I'm not sure if the sign has been changed since previous cases have been appealed so unsure of the probability of winning an appeal?
Any advice much appreciated.

Hi,
Newbie here, I've just received a PCN for the same above contravention on Leahurst Rd going westward at 11.54pm, not a soul about, just gone to pick up my partner at Hither Green train station and turned left out of the station to go back to Ladywell, didn't pay attention, wasn't aware or looking for the 'no vehicle' sign at the traffic island. Is this a new sign as opposed to what was in the above examples? And now after looking on google maps can see 'no vehicles' sign going up Ennersdale road to Hither Green Lane, the way I came. Extremely frustrating. Any idea what my chances of winning an appeal on this?

Many thanks
