Hi

Finally got the NtO letter. Is there any specific wording/phrases that I need to use? Could you help outline what I need to say if so?

Many thanks

Yes I the registered owner/keeper. Yes I believe v5c is correct as nothing has changed.

So what’s happens now. Ignore for 28 days until NtO comes. Do I fill that in or can I get adjudicator to dismiss this PCN?

Good evening all

I do the odd shift delivering parcels for Amazon through their app called Amazon flex. All delivery/job lists are on the app, once delivered it is removed from the app. I do deliveries in my own car.

I had deliveries to the post office on Orpheus street, SE5. There is nowhere nearby to leave the car other than loading bay which has a 1 hour loading time. I did lock the car as I had small parcels that could easily been stolen by passersby. I delivered parcels to post office and came back to a PCN. I was only gone for roughly 5 mins.

I appealed the PCN, I had explained I did not have a job sheet etc but I attached a screenshot of my shift which showed the hours of my shift which aligns with when the contravention happened. Unfortunately got rejected.

Worth fighting further? Do I have a chance?

Thanks in advance

We (well, the experts like Hippocrates!) need to see the original Parking Charge Notice (PCN - as attached to the car, or served by post?).  Although it appears you were in contravention as alleged there may well be 'technical' reasons in either the PCN or the council's handling of the case that mean you can get it cancelled - however, this often involves a trip to the adjudicator with the full PCN cost in play.  I think what Hippocrates is getting at is that the council will increase the charge at the wrong time, which is not allowed, and grounds for getting it cancelled.

Ah gotcha. Linked now Thanks.

You would need to draw a map of your route, and add the signs passed.  However, assuming you took what appears to be the direct route along Mcneil Road, and then Lyndhurst Grove, you passed the entry sign to the Mon-Sat CPZ at the junction with Denman Road:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/wfFuxBNMUSuLFJWF6

However, Post the PCN, there might be a technical appeal possible.

PCN attached in link. Thanks

Keep a close eye on their website payments page, screenshot it and please do not pay it but make a challenge.

I already made an informal challenge and got denied based on the attached link on OP. What did you mean? Sorry I’m new to all this

Ah you’re right there is one in lydhurst/denman.

What did you mean by post the PCN? I have attached the letter. My original appeal was based on saying the last CPZ was Camberwell grove so I followed their days.

What is a technical appeal?

So I parked on a single yellow line on a saturday around 4pm. The sign for the CPZ was on Chadwick Road (mon-sat cpz) which has been closed since the start of September and expected closed until mid November. I would have seen the sign if not for the road closure. The alternative route (as directed by their diversion signs) took me through Camberwell grove and McNeil Road (which is mon-fri cpz sign).

Is it not the councils responsibility to add more signage if the road with the Cpz sign is closed? Tried to get through to someone but they did not want to hear, just said the onus is on the driver to check.

Do you think I will win?
Lost the informal appeal but that was before I realised the road that was closed had the CPZ sign.

Any help or advice welcome!

Thanks in advance!
