Hi I'm completely new to this forum so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.
I've just received a Notice of Debt Recovery from DCBL (Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd) for £730 for 5 unpaid parking charges to Euro Car Parks Ltd. When I received the first of the five, I ignored it after reading information on Martin Lewis's website. These are all for the same car park which is on a retail park. I have numerous medical conditions which make shopping even more difficult. These include severe fatigue and sciatica, so I have to go slowly when shopping. I often go back to sit in my car for a while, to rest and check my blood sugars (I have type 1 diabetes). I also have Pancreatitis and sometimes have to find a toilet pretty quickly. All this wastes time but I don't have any options. I have bad days when I can't get out at all and slightly better days when I try and do as much as I can as I don't know when my next 'slightly better' day will be. This is why I end up spending more time than I should at this particular retail park.
I really don't know what to do. I'm struggling at the moment with health and personal issues and am in a pretty bad place. This letter has come at a horrible time. I've never not paid anything apart from these parking tickets and have no debts apart from my mortgage. I was initially worried about ignoring these tickets but was reassured by the advice I was reading online. I have never replied to any of the letters I received. I wanted to post the current letter on here but I couldn't find a way to do it.
If anyone has any advice I would be so grateful. Thank you so much.
