So @ElectricMan23 you can't have been travelling to the charging point, it looks like you were caught when you were driving out of the area? Could you please clarify?

I entered through gillespie Rd took a left into St Thomas where the charging point is located. Plugged in there and afterwards continued straight on my way out and that's when the camera caught me.

Here is a Picture of visible electric station before entering the restricted area:

Have you already submitted a representation? If so, please show us what you sent.

Also, would you have had enough charge to go the long way round?

Yes I've submitted a representation yesterday saying "I refer to the PCN dated 12/08/2023 which alleges that a contravention occurred in St. Thomas's Road. The PCN further states that this was recorded by 'Camera IS0079'.

However, the video provided only shows the vehicle leaving the area in St. Thomas's Road. I am therefore unable to check, and by the same token the council are unable to establish, that the car entered the area at a location in St. Thomas's Road and that this was observed by the stated camera. It therefore follows that, as keeper, I am unable to examine the council's evidence that the alleged contravention occurred at the stated location and was recorded by an approved device."

I'm not sure If I could go around I remember my battery was very low.

Hi All,

On a Saturday Evening During an Arsenal home game my electric car was very low on battery and the nearby petrol station was occupied so whilst driving around near emirates stadium I drove into a restricted area because I saw a recharge point inside the restricted zone (St Thomas's Road).

I don't live in London but I did see the road sign and was unsure what it meant. I didn't think much of it anyway as my car was low on battery and the recharge station clearly looked like it was for public access.

After recharging and driving away a camera picks up a video of the alleged contravention: https://imgur.com/a/JJ3mrUE

Is the recharge station for permit holders only?
Was I wrong in presuming that it was a publicly accessible electric station?
Am I at fault? If so, is a low battery a valid excuse to make an appeal? (Bearing in mind the local fuel station had 2 pumps and both were occupied).

I would appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks
