The Flame Pit / Is it illegal to do a U turn in London? Can you confirm about this address?

We need help!
We recently started driving in London and a colleague told us we can not do a U turn at this traffic light - https://maps.app.goo.gl/PskEvnUeiFqkjUdJ7 . He also told us in generally in London U-turns are not allowed. (

At this traffic light we come from South east and taking a U-turn (See pictures attached). Would you mind helping out:
1. Can we make a U-turn here - the way we present it (see red line on pictures attached)?
2. If there isn't a "forbidden U-turn sign" can we do a U-turn in London?
3. Who do we contact in London's authorities for clarity for any of those matters?
