Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / London Borough Of Hammersmith And Fulham Penalty Charge Notice 52M

Hello
I have been issued a penalty charge notice from London Borough Of Hammersmith And Fulham with a contravention 52m Failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicle (M) Motor Vehicles.
My mother has requested me to take her to London to attend a family funeral as she is disabled I collected my elderly mother from London to bring her back home and have received this penalty. Waze navigation was used for directions in and out of London. The question is that I could not see the sign due to it being positioned at a higher height and looking at it whilst driving and seeing it to read is impossible and this can easily be missed, can I challenge this as this is my first penalty ticket in London.
