Hello Everyone (Happy New Year)I recived this today (see image)Just some History. I have Stage 4 Bowel Cancer, first part was removed July 2023, then it came back and was Diagnosed in Jan 2024 ; I been placed on immunotherapy with palliative care, life expectancy 16 months. I been in Hospital most of 2024 with Scans, Bloods Test, therapy and having Stents fitted. I was asked to go to Preston NHS for a PEP-Scan on 21st Dec 2024 at 14:30pm this procedure would take up to 2 hours. Park my car (took the little classic for a spin) I parked in disabled parking, the sign said to take the bade section to ticket office at main reception, so I walked over but it was shut, I walked back to my car and noticed all the other cars parked in disabled had the full badge showing, so I placed my badge in the car and set the clock to 14:30pm this I understand would give me 3 hours parking. I then walked to PEP-Scan for my procedure. I returned to my car at approx. 16:30pm ; I had no energy to walk back round to the ticket office so I left.I recived the Parkingeye Ticket this afternoon. I replied on line with the following:-I was parked in Disabled Parking Bay, I had my disabled blue badge on display with my clock card set correctly, the notice said to take a section to the parking office at main reception, I walked over there and it was shut so I left both section in my car and went to PEP-Scan to have my scan completed. I have Stage 4 Bowel / Colon Cancer and am currently on immunotherapy with palliative care. Walking to the PEP-Scan location was bad enough but having to walk to main reception, back to my car then back to PEP-Scan was as much as I could do. I found the instruction on your notice confusing, it was very dark, very wet and I was not in my full health. I checked other car in the same parking bay, they also had the Blue Badge and Clock shown in the windscreen. If you feel this is not sufficient then please provide and POPLA reference number.
