Totally appreciate that and I was accepting that there was a chance of getting ticketed (with parking being £15 for 2hrs and having to move to a different zone there’s not actually much difference in cost between paid parking and a ticket) but no harm in doing as you suggest to see if there’s any leniency.

Sorry for the delayed reply, original PCN attached.

We were back and forth to the van, working at the back of a first floor flat so there was often time when there was no return within 5mins. Obviously once the vehicle received a ticket it wasn’t worth moving it.

Totally accepting that the signage was clear and parking not allowed but hoped there might be some leeway. With regards to permits, unfortunately neither owner or tenant of the flat had a permit so that wasn’t possible.

Hi there, would appreciate some advice on a PCN.

The driver (tradesman) of the vehicle was working at a property on this road and was parked outside. The parking was residents permit holders only but due to needing to get a large number of tools and materials from the vehicle into the property it was impractical to park at the nearest pay and display zone. Is there any leeway in this charge or should I (as the owner of the vehicle) just pay the charge?

I hope I’ve provided enough information but happy to expand on anything if required.
