Thanks very much for that advice. I will follow it to the word

No the V5C is correct as I bought this car recently and at this address. All paperwork was done correctly

If anything develops I shall get back to the forum

I can't see how to contact admin but I've also tried sending them as a jpg and also copy and paste photos

Edit: reading instructions on the uploading page

Can’t send them as JPEG’s through laptop or from my photo library by phone

“The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.“

(trying to send jpegs but they aren't being accepted - will post this text here and try again below)

Thanks

I didn't know that place was a private car park. I've uploaded the only two letters Ive received from the debt collectors. The second one was sent the day after I called them to discuss and you'll see it contains 'My Findings'

In conversation they asked me to provide evidence that I did not receive the fine, which is a basic problem in this case

Dear all

couldn't find anything similar in the search.

The only correspondence I have about this offence is from Debt Recovery Plus (DRP) who tell me I was given a parking ticket 1st August this year.

This ticket was sent to me in the post but it never arrived.

My basement flat has its own letter box. Occasionally letters go upstairs but I've checked and it isn't there either (they have an unclaimed pile that goes back months due to ignoring letters addressed to people who might be transient in one of three flats served by that letter box).

DRP tell me I 'may not have responded to previous letters' but the first letter came from them telling me I now owe £170
Their first letter to me was dated 11th September

The original fine was £60 but I found that out on the phone - I still do not know what time I parked illegally in this case.

The debt collector I spoke to was sarcastic and told me we were beyond the point of challenge and to 'enjoy the rest of my day'

They told me the dispute was between me and Royal Mail

I said I was willing to pay the original fine but object to being fined for not receiving their notification in the post
(This car park apparently no longer puts notices on the cars but only posts fines)

I understand it may now have been referred to the court for contest but don't really know what that entails.

EAST HEATH ROAD CAR PARK LONDON NW3 1TH

any advice gratefully received
