Private parking tickets / Re: Being taken to court?

You can safely ignore that letter from Empira and any other debt collector that tries to contact you. They are powerless to actually do anything except to try and make the low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree pay up out of ignorance and fear. Never, ever communicate with a peerless debt collector.

If/when you receive a Letter of Claim (LoC), which will give you 30 days to pay, not 14, then show it to us and we will provide a suitable response. Likewise, if/when you receive an N1SDT Claim Form from the CNBC, we will provide a suitable defence.

In the meantime you an safely ignore everything else.

Hi I have just revieced a letter from a solicitor reaching out on behalf of their cilent horzon parking telling me to pay within 14 days, i assume i still ignore this letter? It doesnt say letter of claim or N1SDT on it.

Private parking tickets / Parking Ticket Sent to Debit Collector
« on: May 23, 2025, 09:05:52 pm »
Hi, I posted here in september about being threatened i would be taken to court over a parking ticket.

I got a parking ticket from the store carpark, the manager told me mulitple times my reg was given to the car park company and if i get many letters they will sort them out and cancel them, i got a mulitple letters every couple of weeks, i worked there for 2 months.

Then one day I got that letter, 3 months after leaving that job, saying I will be sent to court if I dont pay, I call them up explaining the situation and it was work and they said they sorted them out and the caller said my reg was never on the list and that it doesnt matter if it was my work and i should have called them up and gave them my reg and that i should never gave the letters to my manangers, now other places ive worked been the same and there was never an issue, so i was confused by this remark.

I posted it here and was told to come back when i get a letter im being sent to court and with that letter they cant do anything right now.

Almost a year now and I have been sent a debt collection letter, what should I do? Do they have any right to get this from me? Do I need to pay? Can I ignore it? Will it affect my credit score?

the private carpark was horizon and the debt collector is empira

Private parking tickets / Being taken to court?

I had a job at a shop, and I gave them my reg for my car when I started and I kept getting parking tickets, and they told me if I get a letter to give it to them and they will cancel it.

Now I have a letter saying they will take me to court, I phoned the number I explained I worked there and they asked me if I put my reg down for the whitelist and I explained how my managers told me they did and if there was any letters to give to them, and the person told me I shouldn't have did that and I should have appealed it myself and put my reg on the whitelist and there is nothing they can do now.

I find this confusing and odd considering I got at least 10 tickets during my time their all cancelled so there is evidence of them getting cancelled is that not evidence this ticket which can missed should be cancelled to?

I no longer work cause this job due to bad management, what are my options? Can I really be taken to court?

The parking company is Horizon, and there is no way for me to contact them only the debt recovery company, and they're telling me my only option is to pay it. I can't afford this, I'm on universal credit, unemployed.

Edit:
I want to say I didn't get any letters saying I didn't respond to previous letter/s.

Edit:

This is the letter I got today https://imgur.com/a/lynDQPa
