Private parking tickets / CPM Parking PCN - No Permit - supermarket car park

My mum has been parking in the same spot for years (not that this makes it right) and received this PCN. It is a little side road next to the supermarket car park where there are always a few cars parked.

Is there any valid appeal for this as it is a private company?

Apologies, I have no photos of the car park signage but can get it if needed
