Hi guys,

I have now heard back from LBBD - as predicted representation was rejected. Have been given te standard 14 days to pay or 28 days to appeal along with a verification code.

Please find the rejection in the link below:

Is there any more that I can do to ? Or should I go ahead and pay  ???

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Incandescent,

I have uploaded the video to the same drive.Today is the last day to send in my appeal. Shall I send as is, or are there any other points to add? Thanks.

Date of contravention: 21st June 2024
Time 15.36hrs - Contravention ends at 16.00hrs
Stanhope Road Dagenham
Stanhope Road Dagenham
Google maps is from 2020 so does not show update road signs.

Got this PCN on 3rd of July 2024 for failing to comply on a school street.
Didn't notice the signs as I was concentrating on keeping it to 20mph - only found out about it when I got the PCN.

Have passed this road several times in the past (prior to new signs)

It's obvious that there are signs and camera warnings, but they are at the junction and even if I had seen them (might not have had time to reverse adequately.

Anyway the ticket is here now - any chance of an appeal? I have done a draft response and my files with the PCN are here.

I am writing to challenge PCN BZ80706939 issued on 3rd July 2024 for allegedly entering a pedestrian zone at 15:36.

The signage indicating the pedestrian zone restrictions is positioned high and I was diligently trying to follow all traffic regulations of 20mph -  making it difficult to notice while driving. This contributed to my inadvertent entry.

I have used the road several times in the past, the high and inconspicuous signs which I attributed to the 20mph limit caused confusion and led to an unintentional contravention.

Timing Close to Restriction End: The alleged contravention occurred only 24 minutes before the restriction ended at 16:00. Given the minimal time remaining, I request leniency as there was little to no impact on pedestrian safety or traffic management.

I have attached photographs of the signage to support my appeal. Based on these points, I kindly ask that you consider canceling the PCN.
