Thanks all,

I'm going to ring up dvla tomorrow, couldn't get through today. I think I'm just clutching at straws thinking I haven't been caught as I've driven the length of the country in the last 6 months, Pay the fine and then never forget to pay my tax again!

If you go here:
https://www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk/driving-record/licence-number?_ga=2.175824806.549931013.1717533493-824014658.1713733314
you can view your driving licence record and it will show any points that have been put onto your licence.

Thanks, no points. but i thought that driving without tax wouldnt be points on your license from what ive read

i made a stupid mistake followed by another stupid mistake and im pretty worried right now.

Ive been driving without tax since 1st of Jan (i thought i was on direct debit and just didnt think about it), ive just taxed it now, there was a line on the DVLA website pointing this lack of tax out saying it will be investigated.

But there is more. My driving license has been registered to a previous address which i lived at until March this year, ive just changed this now. But from what I've seen this wont matter for tax offences.

My main issue is that my car has been registered to a previous address that i havent lived at for about 2 years, until i changed it in the first few days of April (2 months ago).

I'll be happy to pay any fines, my worry is that it may have gone to court etc without me knowing if I was caught between January and April.

My question is, since April would I have got a follow up/reminder letters from the DVLA, even if the offence was say January the 2nd? Should I ring up the DVLA and ask them, or just let it be?
