Title: Re: Code 53J - London Borough of Havering

Thank you very much for your response.

Just to double check, has anyone successfully taken Havering to the Tribunal and won?

Also, can I take them to the Tribunal without making any representation to them first?

If they win at the Tribunal, is the amount £80 or £160 that I have to pay?

Thanks again,
Pammy

So here is the GSV view across to Salisbury Road from Hazelmere Gdns.

The signs are clear enough, but with no advance warning, and with the driver checking for traffic on the busy Brentwood Road, he might only notice the signs as he prepares to turn into Salisbury Road.  Stopping and reversing back to change direction would be very dangerous. It's a trap basically.

Against the above is the fact that the signs are in plain site from Hazlemere Grdens as one approaches:-

Basically, if you submit representations to Havering they will reject them and also not re-offer the discount, so if this is what you want to do, it is a no-brainer to take them to London Tribunals, as the penalty remains the same, and there are no additional costs.

Good morning.

Thank you for your response. I am having issues uploading the PCN and photos. I have provided a Dropbox link with this message.

I approached Salisbury Road from Hazelmere gardens. There are no warning signs on this road but there is a warning sign if you approach Salisbury Road from Brentwood Road and make a left turn.

I sincerely didn’t see the sign. The approach from Hazelmere is full of parked cars and by the time I approached the junction, I would have been checking for cars to my right and left before crossing Brentwood Road to Salisbury Road.

I hope this makes sense. Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you

Pammy

Don't panic. We just need the whole PCN just with the PCN and VRM and webcode and then I will draft a rather technical appeal for you.

My sincere apologies. I need to take a walk down the road as I can’t remember how I made the turn. I will update my post later today once I have done that, with clear pictures.

I remember going through the road to Gidea Park station.

Thank you

Sorry, but you've not told us anything like enough for us to give advice. Please read this and update your thread accordingly:-

Here are the signs you passed.  Did you turn left or right into Salisbury Road

Good evening all,

I have just received two letters with the same PCN  from Havering Council for failing to comply with a restriction on vehicles entering a pedestrian zone in Salisbury Road RM2/Brentwood Road RM2.

I remember driving though the road but I didn’t even see any advance warning signs or prohibition notices.

Has anyone here seen a similar PCN?

Please I need help in appealing the PCN.

Thank you

Pammy
