wondered if there was any way I could get out of it after the fact?
If you upload scans of the notice you've received we'll be able to advise on that.

Show us all pages, remove personal details but leave on dates and times.

It's a parking charge notice so civil contract. I've checked the details on the signage around the station and I am in breach but wondered if there was any way I could get out of it after the fact?

I believe I'm correct in saying that private companies don't have any authority to fine/clamp/tow etc in the way that councils do?
The can't do any of those, but then councils can't fine you either.

The charges for an alleged breach of contract can most certainly be enforced (if valid).

Is yours couched as a Parking Charge Notice under civil (contract) law or Penalty Charge notice under railway bylaws?

Please provide a scan of ALL of the notice with just your details and reg number redacted.

Morning all, received a PCN letter yesterday from the above company regarding overstaying short stay parking at LNER Newark Northgate back in October. This is a reminder to pay letter although I never received the first letter. Any way of appealing? Do I just wait it out and see what happens? I believe I'm correct in saying that private companies don't have any authority to fine/clamp/tow etc in the way that councils do?
