To help us provide the best advice, please read the following thread carefully and provide as much of the information it asks for as you are able to: READ THIS FIRST - Private Parking Charges Forum guide (https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/)
As noted, do not lie. That's a quick way to completely mess things up.

Do not lie in any appeal.
PE would still be able to see if an incorrect VRM had been entered on their system.
Go back to the hotel and insist that they cancel the notice.
Exactly this.
I received a speculative invoice at a hospital from a private parking company - it took two emails to get it cancelled (one to complain, the second to provide the invoice details).
Cancelled in a trice......always go Plan A if the invoice is on behalf of someone who owns the land.

If the hotel owns the land then they can definitely cancel the invoice.

Good Morning,
I received a PCN for 100GBP, for using Tesla Super Charger at Holiday Inn Preston. This was a new car, and I was not aware that I had to register at the hotel.
I called the hotel and the staff mentioned that there are signs visible that I need to go in to register the vehicles license plate. I did not do this, infact I did not see the signs.
I do not live in the area, so I cannot check if the signage is really visible.
The staff mentioned I should e-mail stating that I did see the signs, however incorrectly entered my licesnse plate and ask if they can refund it. They did mention Parkingeye recently has been strict so it would be unlikley.
Can I get out of this / what is my best course of action?
This feels unfair as I am a paying customer for the electricity. This is a new car and only the 2nd time I've charged the car.
