Pl post the back of the PCN.

The front is a dog's breakfast with mandatory info, where readable, split either side of a 'detach here' instruction. Let's see whether the back is as much of a mess.

The CPZ sign just after you turned into Thane Villas is where the event day dates are displayed. There has been controversy, because CPZ signs give times for single yellow line restrictions, so why bother reading the sign if you're going to park in a properly marked and signed bay. However councils get away with just putting the event dates on the CPZ signs and one is supposed to read them when passing. Just saying "I missed the sign", will not win an adjudication. Anyway, wait a bit to see what the others say but if you're minded to pay the discount, don't miss the deadline for that.

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any help and advice it's gratefully received.

Parked in Thane Villas to use local leisure centre after 18:30 when usual restrictions end. I don't live in the area and was just looking for somewhere to park near the leisure centre.

This is extended to 20:30 on 'matchdays' and I was not aware Arsenal were playing on that Wednesday evening as no signage to reflect that where I parked.
There was no way to pay for parking on Thane Villas.

I parked behind the bicycle storage unit where the blue car is parked.

This is the sign closest to where I parked but I walked around to see all the signs on road and adjacent were the same:

Interestingly, moving up the street on google takes you back to 2012 images where there is signage on each post with a hotline you can call to advise if a matchday. These do not exist anymore. Do they expect you to look on the internet? I didn't have my phone on me.

Based on info in these forums I looked back to when I entered the 'zone' which was the turning right off Seven Sisters Road onto Thane Villas (across a cycle lane to which you need to be super vigilant in Finsbury Park!). There is a sign which indicates they have put signage up in this area previously but it's not illuminated and I did not see this signage at night.

Are there sufficient grounds for appeal? I did not notice any signage highlighting there was an event on at the stadium despite checking signage where I parked.

Photos of the offence are lots of close ups of the car - not sure why (seems odd) or if that is any value to the appeal.
