Title: Re: Any recent success with Silvertown / Blackwall tunnel PCN appeal?

Yes I saw that link shared on another post and worth adding in.

I rang and they said it would be unfair to penalise you twice. So it’s just the one PCN. Cos I was worried one got lost in the post as I used twice. But they seem to be allowing the first use and charging for way back.

£8 cost will cost £90 which is very unfair imo. Happy to pay £8 if there is a way!

Any others thoughts welcome

They may use discretion but the grace period has long gone.

You can point out that the tunnels are not listed on the government's toll road page.

How come they said the return has not triggered a PCN - this seems unlikely.

I’d like to ask if anybody recently successfully appealed against a Blackwall tunnel / Silvertown tunnel PCN?

I genuinely did not see any signage and my sat nav did not flag it as a toll road. I drove to the o2, somewhere I would always take the train to. On this day the jubilee line was down due to engineering works. This seems a new tunnel that was only built last year and I’ve clearly missed the signs to pay.

I’ve since set up autopay but if anybody has any advice on successfully appealing can you please share?

I’ve read up that they allowed some people when it first opened. Hoping they still excuse first time mistakes.  I only got 1 PCN which is some goodwill as. When I spoke to their helpline they said it should have been 2 as I used both ways.

Please advise if you need any further details …
