Welcome to FTLA.

To help us provide the best advice, please read the following thread carefully and provide as much of the information it asks for as you are able to: READ THIS FIRST - Private Parking Charges Forum guide (https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/read-this-first-private-parking-charges-forum-guide/).

Is there a reason you're only taking action on this 5 months after the event?

Hi,
I got parking ticket on the 14th August 2025 at a private carpark in Greenwhich SE10 8NB.
On that date the carpark was extremely busy and it took a significant amount time to find parking space. once found the parking space, I attemted to pay for the ticket using my contactless on my mobile phone but my card kept declineing. The payment could not be completed.

As I did not have another card I decided to leave the carpark rather then remain without paying. The alleged overstay of 18Min occcurred solely due to the time spent finding space and attemting to make payment before existing.

could someone advice what step I can take to appeal this as I have missed the grace period of appealing, also the ticket was issued under my fathers name but at the time I was the one who was driving the vhicle.

thank you
Zenab
