Thanks

Can you kindly explain why i shouldn't use the FOIR
just to get the knowledge

Hi i received a ticket for driving on a bus lane on the 25th of December I drove there having seen this previously  where it clearly states that TFL does not enforce bus lanes on Christmas.

This heavily implies you drove into the bus lane deliberately. I did not say you shouldn't use the link. I said maybe AFTER the alleged incident. You could ask them a question about it or indeed make another fresh FOIR.

Use this as a basic draft but omit the part about camera authorisation for the moment.

https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/tfl-bus-lane-contravention-n-circular-rd-btw-chequers-way-green-lanes/msg30167/#msg30167

You can mention the FOIR but be careful not to admit to driving on the bus lane because of it. Say you saw it AFTER the alleged incident and I would make a fresh one in any case to see if it has been amended.

NB: In this law, if it goes the full distance, they MUST attend a hearing to answer my questions or their evidence is inadmissible. AFAIR I have done about 5, 3 not contested and 2 won because they messed up.  In any event, in my discussions with @cp8759 they have staffing problems currently so may well choose the former course of action. But, be prepared for the long game.

This is easily beatable, and not just on the FOI letter, but it's a speciality of 'Hippocrates', so I'll let him explain it. You must be prepared to forego the discount, though, as TfL almost never give way, and I suspect they won't even when they can see their own officer's name on the letter.
