If the amazing people on here could please advise as I have until 28th  Mar to respond otherwise it states they may proceed with a County Court claim.  I dont want to write to them and make a mistake.  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is there a standard letter for this type of claim that anyone has?

Driver not identified in any correspondance

First thing I notice (having examined GSV) is that the type of parking machine used at the location have a history of jumping to the payment stage before the full reg can be entered.

The parking operators, against consumer legislation, attempt to make 'machine faults' the client's problem and not theirs.

Without reading all the documents, can you confirm whether the driver was identified in your appeals?

Hi,  I have received a letter of claim following a parking issue where the FULL number plate was not registered on the parking machine or ticket.
Appeal registered with Napier Parking - then dismissed as they state machine was working
Subsequent apeak to IAS also dismissed as they state contract broken as incomplete registration.
Copies of ticket purchased and bank statement were included in all correspondance.
Now letter of claim issued
Images of letters attached.
Help with this would be appreciated.

Title: Incomplete car registration
Post by: dmdavey on January 06, 2026, 02:12:00 pm
Hi, Last year I received a Private Parking charge notice from Napier Parking.  It stated i had not purchased a ticket.
Luckily I had the parking ticket.  I appealed to them with a copy of the parking ticket and copy of bank statement showing i had paid, they came back stating i had not adhered to their contract and had not entered the full car registration.  The ticket showed only the first 2 letters of the reg.

I'm 100% sure i had entered the correct reg but obvioulsy cannot be sure some months later.   they offered to reduce the fine, but i was sure i was in the right and agasint an appeal, surely common sense would provail.  I appealed to the IAS, but again they dismissed my appeal on the same grounds.

I have now received a letter from BW Legal wanting to help me settle the £170.

At no time have i admitted been the driver of the vehicle.  any help would be appreciated as i'm sure this case should be dropped.
