I don't think you have the basis of a 'slam-dunk' win at adjudication. Of course you have the absolute right in law to take them all the way to the adjudicators, and risk the full PCN penalty. My own view is this would be a gamble and not with good odds.

Hi again. Just got the appeal rejection email through today which the links to it are below.
What would you guys suggest doing now. Should I just suck it up and pay?

Thanks again for all help it is appreciated

Thanks sent the appeal I'll post when they get back to me.
-
The signs are meant to be illuminated - you can see lamps on both - and it looks like the one in the video wasn't on and it was dark - about 1 hour past sunset - so you should point this out. Maybe the other hadn't worked/come on too.
-
Looks OK, but don't expect them to fold and cancel the PCN. Post up their response when you get it

Thanks again how does this sound for a appeal.
I would like to appeal on the grounds the sign before the bridge is being obstructive from the traffic lights and vegetation please see image attached to shown this.

The next sign is past the junction so once i committed myself as the other sign was obscured it was to late to change my mind as I would of caused a accident. Furthermore the time was 4.49pm and it was almost dark and there was not being sufficient lighting to illuminate the signs
Thanks again for help.

I would, but I don't think I'd take it to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal unless they ****-up their inevitable letter of rejection. I don't agree with SFM on the sign possibly applying to the turn into the race course, because it is after the traffic lights and the green phase does not have a direction arrow to indicate straight-ahead only. For me there is an issue with obscuration of the sign after the traffic lights both by the traffic light array and vegetation:-

It is a 30mph zone and was almost dark so Would you suggest I should appeal this?
-
To me that first sign seems to be for the right turn before the bridge.
If this is a 30mph zone the sign must be illuminated and it does look to have a lamp.
-
The traffic lights before the bridge control access to the race course, (although not to its car park), and RH turns are allowed as this view of the green aspect shows. However, look at the obscuration of the NRT sign. The OP came along here at 16.30 when it would have been almost dark

Thanks for your replies.
Here is the screenshot of thier website for grounds to appeal.
In the PCN I also got a representations in respect of penalty charge with it which I've also added a link for.

The sign before the bridge seems to be positioned by an earlier turn though.
The sign in the video would not be adequate alone.

The sign before the bridge is behind the traffic light array. The GSV view doesn't show the approach from a driver's view in the LH lane. It might be obscured. On the other hand, there is a repeater sign after the bridge: -

So the contravention seems to be made out, but suggest you check for obscuration of the sign as suggested above. The other sign is past the junction, so if you committed yourself because the other sign was obscured, it would be too late to change your mind, as you could cause an accident.
In addition, go onto their website, and go to their page for submitting representations. Please take a screen capture of the grounds for an appeal and post it here. Councils sometimes get this totally wrong, which makes it a procedural impropriety. Mr 'Hippocrates' may also post further on this aspect.

Hi all new to this forum, I did get great help from Pepipoo forum before it changed to here,so thought I'd asked before paying fine.
I made a turning on junction of Nuns Road and New Crane Street in Chester. I've checked Google maps and sign says there is no right turning Mon-Fri 4.30-6.00pm.
I didn't see the sign as not familiar with the area which is my mistake The PCN says time was 4.49pm.
Is this worth appealing or should I just pay as it was my mistake. Thanks all
