Sometimes, they will accept a late nomination: So, send back the paperwork, properly completedwith an apologetic cover letter explaining your absence/lack of response.
Keep copies of everything and get proof of posting from the post office as well.

Hoping for some advice please. I live between Spain and the UK spending half my time in both countries. I was driving from Gatwick to Slough in the early hours of the morning in June, on the M25, when I didn't notice the limit from from 60 to 50. I saw the camera flash and was pretty sure I had been caught. My UK mail is forwarded to my daughter and at the time I asked her to keep a look out for a speeding fine. She saw nothing.
Today she has given me a pile of mail including two letters from The Met. As my car is a lease they took two month to get my details from the lease company initially. One is a notice of intended prosecution, dated end of August, and the second a final reminder. The final reminder was sent out over a month ago giving me seven days to respond. Can anyone give me an idea of what I can do now to sort this out with the minimum of damage please? I've gone online and there is no indication of how I speak to a human. The letters are from the Met Camera Processing Services.
I don't have a problem paying the fine as I was in the wrong but I really don't want to go to court and risk a £1k fine.( Speed was 59 in a 50 zone BTW).
