If you want a course, the faster you reply the better.

So I did get the NIP, or course!!.
Received it I think 09/12/25 (dated 03/12/25)
36mph in a 30mph. Photo evidence shows a new set of average speed cameras, although this was at the start from the 40 to 30 reduction point. Looks like I was almost there!
I presume I just need to get this back to them and hope for a SAC. My last one was a 'Smart?' motorway one 6yrs ago. Looks like they got me in the leg, but I can limp off this time.
In the past I've posted these things back but would people recommend using the online option instead?
No point trying to wiggle out of it then I guess :-[

May be wishful thinking that it's "lost in the system". The rental company has a strong disincentive to not having robust processes in place in the form of hefty fines if prosecuted for Failing to Furnish. You could call them to check. The road to "Hoping it'll go away" is littered with casualties.

Thanks both, really good info.
Colleague has definitely sent the correct details to the rental Co. I don't know whether it was an NIP to the company or a rental Co request. I think it's more likely the later.
I could just ring the rental Co myself but tbh I'd sort of hoped it might just go away. This theory is based on the fact that we hire vans loads and as it's not happened before I wasn't sure if it can just get a bit 'lost in the system' as it's rental. I can't imagine that's not the reality but if I want the SAC option (if that's possible) it looks like I need to watch that timing and potentially call the rental Co to allow the time to carry it out.

Received wisdom is that in order to be offered an SAC the driver's driver nomination form (s. 172 response on the back of his eventual NIP) needs to be received within ~3 months of the date of offence, and the course needs to be completed within ~4 months.
Assuming* that the request for driver's details was an s. 172 from the police addressed to your employer, as opposed to a copy of a NIP received by the hire company, or an invoice for the admin charges, etc., then logically the delay could be down to your employer not having sent the response off, your employer putting the wrong address on it, the CTO taking a while to process it, or postal issues.
As has been suggested, you are far better placed than us to ascertain whether and if so, when, your correct details were sent off, and whether by post, or an online form.

They have 28-days to complete their form and they may have used most of it to do it. Alternatively, they may have been sent your details but still named the account holder, which I guess is your employer.
I would phone back whoever told you the hire company had received the request for driver details and check with them.
a) have they received anything?
b) can they follow it up with the hire company.
Yes, there is a time limit on when a speed awareness course can be offered but even if they have named your employer if you can get on top of it and walk it through the system, you should get your own nomination in time. We are only one month in so far.

Hi, nice to see the new place Pepipoo. I like what you've done with it. Mostly just glad you're still around!
Details:
09/11/25 - Alledged speeding offence in rental van
18/11/25 - Informed by a work colleague that they had received a request for driver details for an alledged speeding offence (probably a camera) on 09/11/25.
18/11/25 - Told colleague they should just put my name and address down and I would look at what was going on when they contacted me.
09/12/25 - current date still haven't heard anything more.
So my question/s are should I just leave it at that? Ideally if they would have offered a speed awareness course I'd prefer that but is there going toi be a time limit on that? I imagine it might just take a lot longer than usual as it's via a rental company but they apparently have been sent my correct details and they are one of the largest companies so should be reliable.
Any thoughts on this please?
