H Guys,

So ICELAND have not replied as yet, and I'm assuming it's due to the holiday period. I'll send a third follow-up email to see if they can cancel it.

Hypothetically, if they do not reply, what are my options?

So spoke to the OP (Azura94) from the third post (Thank you), and the OP got a response from ICELAND via another debt that the CEO referred to;

I have emailed the department <Property@Iceland.co.uk> to see if they can cancel it - I cant see any other route, to be honest....

Thank you

Sent off the follow-up email to the CEO today, hopefully he responds.

Interestingly, I've gone to appeal the ticket on the website (advertised on the back of the ticket), but the website did not recognise my details....

Could this possibly mean that the CEO cancelled the ticket, or that (obviously, by 5 days now) I have gone past the appeal process date?

You can try, but I’d also follow up on the request to the Iceland CEO that you say has not been responded to. In our experience here, it has always been positive.

Yes - I've missed that 28-day deadline, unfortunately.

So does that mean I cannot submit a late appeal?

If not, what options do I have now?

Do you mean appeal to excel? That should have been done within 28 days from two working days after it was issued.

Emailed the top man in Iceland a while back and sadly I have got no reply...

It has now been longer than 28 days - but shall I send a response to EXCEL regarding refuting the ticket?

Thank you -

ill start by sending the CEO an email to cancel the PCN

Ill send the following;

Subject: Request for Discretionary Cancellation of Parking Charge – Iceland Customer

Dear Mr Dhaliwal,

I hope you are well. I am writing to you as a loyal Iceland customer regarding a parking charge I recently received after slightly overstaying in the car park of one of your stores.

On the day in question, I was shopping at Iceland and unfortunately exceeded the permitted parking time by a small margin. This was not intentional; I was simply taking a little longer than expected during my shop. I have always understood Iceland to be a company that values and supports its customers, and I hope that this situation can be viewed with some discretion.

I would be extremely grateful if you could assist in having this parking charge cancelled, or forward my request to the appropriate team or parking management provider. I can provide any receipts, reference numbers, or evidence required to support my claim.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my message. I truly appreciate any help you may be able to offer.

Kind regards,

I suggest you read this thread to understand how to go about getting this cancelled, starting with reply #1 here:

Plan A is to get Iceland to cancel this for you.
Otherwise, the driver probably entered into a contract for parking for a limited time and exceeded this for some reason. They have cause to claim against the driver if so.
