Title: Re: Lambeth, code 21 parked whole or partly in a suspended bay or space Brockwell Park Gardens

Pics from one of the PCNs below.

Three things:

1. The suspension is a continuous one for 2 months and no highway works seem to be ongoing mid-way through the suspension.

2. The suspension sign is on a parking sign for an EV bay so why would you look at it - except the EV bay looks very poorly marked and no end point before where you were and no charger is evident. The nearest parking sign for you was a bit up the road showing a 2 hour commuter restriction if Maps is current and assuming you were clear of the EV bay(s), which may be what they are installing.

3. The second two PCNs are a continuous contravention of the first so should not stand.

All in all I'd say this is not on and only one PCN at worst.

There have been roadworks (now complete and completely cleared) however there are suspended bay parking restrictions which we did not realise. We parked late on a Sunday arriving home with three children and didn’t realise that one space in the parking bay had a restriction. We do concede that the car was parked in a bay that was restricted.

We received our first ticket that night at 10:34. We do not go past the car and at the first time when we came past the car we saw that we had three tickets in total - One on Sunday night, one on Tuesday morning and one on Wednesday morning - after which the car was moved.

It feels quite predatory practice from the council - £80 per ticket - feels like an unfair cost for the level of mistake that occurred. We are just looking in to how we could best approach the tickets in the 14 day window before the cost goes up.
