Title: Re: Redbridge Council PCN/Ringo

Hi Stamford! Thanks and I think I owe you another thanks previously when the 'has an offence actually been committed if the first hour is free regardless' worked in my favour.

You seem to be suggesting to go down that route again which sounds good with me!  Any such rule regarding an 'observation Period'  i.e the warden cant just slap a ticket on but has to wait a period of time to see if the session is processing,  to confirm this is exactly what has happened,  12:57 the session has gone through on Ringo but warden has slapped the ticket on at 12:54 and stated observed between 12:54 and 12:54.

Thanks appreciate will need to keep the car in sight at all times when registering sessions going forward.

Think you are suggesting attack on the hour being free regardless and didn't stay longer than the hour?

You need to change your tune. Don't walk away from the car or you'll end up with PCNs like this.

What is the car VRM.

You need to account for 3 minutes from PCN to session time.

Can you prove you were less than hour. There are successes on the nonsense of not paying for a free thing.

AF11888555- I have always left the vehicle before starting a session since the beginning of time, I like to go over to the post on the pavement to check the location number so I don't make any mistakes, I then walk on to attend whatever I am doing post typing the location code in,

Any run in challenging on the basis of grace period and if not a grace period then an 'observation period' i.e the from and to times shouldn't be the same, ample time should be given to pay for the session e.t.c?

Thanks Stamford appreciate it

What are the PCN number and VRM.

Why did you leave the car before starting a session.

Found the previous case now, if anybody has any advice regarding grace periods in terms of starting Ringo sessions once you park up and then get out of the car, time to look up at the road signs for location codes type into the app etc.   would be really appreciative.

Thanks

Happy Halloween everyone, sorry to have to ask but I don't know how to search, I am looking for a Redbridge council previous case whereby the appellant successfully argued that no contravention had occurred if they hadn't parked for more than one hour regardless of the fact they hadn't registered on Ringo.

In addition is there any grace period in terms of registering a Ringo Session, got a PCN today times at 12:54, My Ringo session started at 12:57, i literally must have been on the other side of the road punching the location number in off the sigh whilst the ticket was being issued.

Thanks in advance one and all.
