On another note, I did want to add how my friends and others in london believe driving in London has become a nightmare. They have taken the joy out of driving. So many cameras, so many no entry zones. Even Google street views cant keep up with. Surely looking at numerous signs while driving takes the joy out of driving anywhere. Always wondering whats around the corner, which rule am I breaking. What road is prohibited at what times. I have one next to my street, which now needs me to drive 10 minutes around during peak hours to avoid that. This literally starts from the end of my street I live in.

You may have a better view of how many tickets are issued in London vs outside. I was recently in the country side, it was much easier, barely any cameras and it was more fun to drive. May be if you drive everyday in london as a taxi driver or for delivery drivers. All others beware if you are the occassional driver in London.

Thoughts ?
Until the vast sums gained by councils and TfL in London are severely kurbed, the situation will continue. We had the same situation with speed cameras, where the councils and the police kept the fines money. There was a big political row and the government cancelled the scheme, so that all speed camera fines are submitted to central government. PCN penalties in London are over double the rest of the country. THere is a provision in the LLA & TfL Act 2003 which permits the Secretary of State to intervene, (see below). So far no SoC of either governing party since the Act came in, has intervened, so they must think the penalties are OK

So the moral is, just think carefully who you vote for in future.

Appreciate your time for looking into this. This clearly my mistake in driving as there is evidence to that fact.

So i want to acknowledge that first and foremost.

Also I unable to make an informal representation. See image attached. Is this a technicality I can use to get out of the PCN ?

No, not really, you would seem to have misunderstood the system. With postal PCNs, which are sent to the owner, there is no faciity to submit informal reps, only formal ones. This is because a postal PCN is sent to the owner so acts as a Notice to Owner. Informal challenges are made against paper PCNs served at the roadside to car or driver. The council are wrong saying you have been sent a Notice to Owner, though, but it's an easy mistake to make, and a legacy of when, back in the day, all PCNs were served at the roadside

As to the contravention, their video shows you merrily passing two conspicuous No Entry signs, with a plate below stating that buses and cycles are exempt. So you can see how your almost blind faith in your satnav has got you into this mess. The bottom line is that signs are very important and you ignore them at your peril.
Frankly, with the video evidence being what it is, I can't think of a robust appeal argument, sorry to have to say it.

Edit: Ignore this, as I realised that for camera based PCNs, this serves as the NTO.

You've redacted the car reg number and PCN Number.

Sorry, but we need to use these to view their evidence, which will be a video, the sole evidence.  GSV seems out-of-date, but in 2024 this was the view down Temple Mills Lane from Celebration Avenue. As you can see, there are no restriction signs, but their CCTV evidence may show them.

I agree, I could be a better driver. Just hoping someone could help out.

PCN has now been posted. Let me know if you need any other information.

Today is my last day to file within 14 days. I know i left it late as well.

I didnt see the No Entry signs as i was following my Sat Nav.
But you weren't driving with your eyes shut surely ? We seem to be getting more and more of threads for "satnav -assisted" PCNs, so join the club ! Using satnavs is fatal in London because there are more and more traps like LTNs and School Streets off the main roads and satnavs are always out-of-date. Three tickets in a few days is getting to be something of a record. Are you new to London and/or driving ?

Anyway, you've not given us enough info to give considered advice, so please read this and update your thread accordingly : -

Hi I have recieved a PCN stating not complying with a no entry restriction. I didnt see the No entry signs as i was following my Sat Nav. Not sure if that can be used as a reason. Is there any other technicality I can use to get out. This is my 3rd ticket in a matter of days. Driving in london is more expensive with tickets rather than hiring a taxi or uber.

Please please help, this seems unfair as they want 80 pounds even if paid within 14 days. This is steep and is clearly putting me off driving.

Also it says I am unable to make an informal representation, even though I havent. I did use the AI chatbot it lead me to, which may have done something as it was forcing me to answer questions, which I really didnt want to answer. I retried to challenge and pCN and it somehow lead me to allow a challenge the PCN. Now I am having to make a formal representation.(https://postimg.cc/dZyQ4Wwn)
