Title: Re: 2x PCN received in Newham for Entering Pedestrian Zone on High St North, E6
Post by: cp8759 on June 23, 2023, 02:23:15 pm
Draft representation:

Dear London Borough of Newham,

I challenge liability for the PCN because the alleged contravention did not occur. The signs indicate that blue badge holders are permitted to enter the zone, a blue badge was displayed at all times and it is registered to be used with the vehicle also.

It follows that the contravention did not occur and the PCN must be cancelled.

I enclose a copy of the blue badge for your records.

Yours faithfully,

Send this via the council website, you'll have to do it separately for each PCN. Make sure to keep a screenshot of the confirmation screen.
Title: 2x PCN received in Newham for Entering Pedestrian Zone on High St North, E6

Morning Everyone

I received 2x PCNs, with essentially for the same thing (entering pedestrian zone during restricted times)

I did see these signs but the reason I continued to enter is because below the warning signs are another that says blue badge holders may enter, of which my mother is & was traveling with me at the time.

A blue badge was displayed at all times too & is registered to be used with the vehicle also, I am surprised that we still received the PCNs.

Below is a link to copies of both PCNs, Google street pictures of the areas entered highlighting the notices & screen shots of the PCN on the challenge form from Newham's website.

Would someone please see and tell me if the contravention has actually occurred and what I need to do to fight this, if possible please.

Many thanks
