In the appeal was the driver`s ID given?
what appeal?

...I appealed, but it was rejected, and they’ve confirmed their internal appeals process is now closed.

If you pay this, you are a fool and your money! No one pays a penny to ECP if they follow the advice, even if they blabbed the drivers identity in their appeal.

If all you are interested in is the mugs discount, then you are a lost cause. Paying a speculative invoice from an unregulated private parking firm just because they make an offer of a discount is ridiculous.

Of course you appeal to POPLA, for what it's worth. You may get lucky. Depending on whether the driver has been identified or not, you can search the forum for other POPLA appeals and give one a go. However, in most cases with ECP, you will not be successful at POPLA.

A POPLA decision is not binding on the appellant. Where this is won is after a county courts claim has been issued and defended. The claim will, 99.9% for sure, be struck out or discontinued before they have to pay the £27 trial fee.

Title: Advice on Euro Car Parks ticket – overstay by 24 minutes

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some advice regarding a parking charge notice I’ve received from Euro Car Parks.

•   I parked in a private camera-operated car park and originally bought a ticket from 13:57 to 15:57.

•   I was delayed and forgot to extend my ticket until 16:19, paying for another hour until 17:19.

•   My car was in the car park from 13:55 to 17:18, so there was a 24-minute period unpaid for. This was an honest mistake; I had no intention of avoiding payment.

•   I received a £60 parking charge notice. I appealed, but it was rejected, and they’ve confirmed their internal appeals process is now closed.

My question: Should I escalate this to the independent appeals service (POPLA / IAS), or just pay the reduced fine while I can?

I’d appreciate any guidance from people who have experience with Euro Car Parks or private parking charges.

Thanks in advance!
