Title: Re: Southwark Council, code 12 parked in a residents zone without a permit

Hi all,
I have appealed on discretion basis, however it's been 21 days now that the council hasn't responded.

I swear  I've read that they have 21 days to get back to me, but of course I might be wrong. Can anyone confirm?

thanks
You're wrong, unfortunately.
You submitted an informal challenge against the PCN served under the Traffic Management Act 2004. There is no mandated response period in the Act and its associated regulations, to these, other than fairness, like replying in 3 months time. The next stage, the Notice to Owner, requires the enforcing authority to rely within 56 days, or else the representations are automatically accepted.

You should at least make reps within the 14-day period as these would be risk-free.

Alright thanks, I anticipated there's no way out unless maybe something was wrong with the ticket.
You guys have successfully helped me out 3 times in the past 5 years so I thought it's worth a try!

I still think £80/£160 is just ridiculous for such an offense  >:(

Couldn't use your links, but a review of the photos on the council's website shows you bang-to-rights. Can't see anything other than a plea for discretion.

IMO, if you refer to CEO's turning a blind eye, shop staff parking on DYL and you having parked here knowingly but without issue then not only would these not carry any weight, you'd probably find CEOs queuing to get into the road to get their day's quota before 9am, especially anyone caught by the implication ofyour 'blind eye' allegation.

Dear all,

Just received a PCN  for parking in a residential zone outside my barber shop. I've been parking there for many years now during my monthly barber visits, 20-30 mins at a time. Most of their customers also park up. The staff also park their cars outside the shop on double yellows. We never have issues with parking outside the shop, as the officers know to keep one eye closed. Genuinely shocked to see that it will cost me an extra £80!

I am hoping you can find something wrong with the ticket that I could appeal? Any advice at all is very welcome.

Pictures of the ticket:

Location (exactly where the phone booth is under the tree):

One thing to note, the CPZ was only introduced to this street a couple years ago, whereas before it used to be free. So the google maps link is outdated. The current signage is mon-fri 0830 - 1830.

Let me know if there's anything else I need to provide.
Thanks
