Title: PCN for changed local rules - so I have any defence?
Post by: hardwick on October 03, 2025, 11:38:33 am
Hi,
I have been sent a PCN for driving up a local road on my motorbike - Belleville Road - I have lived in the area for 25 years, but they have just put a restriction.

I can't even see what the restriction is on apple or google maps as the current street view pictures don't have the sign up as it is brand new. There is a school there, which is why they have done it, I guess, however I went up there at 15:07 and there were children around. They have also put up a camera so it is bound to be a way they can max out fines.

The video shows a sign up but I didn't see this as I know this area and was on autopilot.

Do I have any grounds on which I can appeal or get it cancelled?

Thanks in advance!

Nick
