Very well done ! We don't see councils folding very often.
Only when they watch us.

Hi H,
I was fully expecting, as you explained, that this would be a long battle — but it turned out to be a surprisingly quick one as the council folded. I’ve just received Islington’s response to my challenge, and I quite literally jumped out of my chair when I saw it.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for your guidance and support throughout this process. Your expertise has been invaluable, and I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into helping me. My thanks also extend to the wider forum for creating such a supportive and knowledgeable space.
Thank you once again for everything.
Tod

How original! ::)
I was being sarcastic as I have read similar blurb from them in another case.

Hi H,
i've just received email from Islington Parking Services. Please have a look:

Hi H,
Thank you very much for drafting that — I really appreciate your help and guidance. I’ll put it into a PDF and submit it as suggested. I’ll also stay prepared for the long process ahead.
Many thanks again for your support,
Tod

No worries. I'll do it now.. Thanks for letting me know.
I make these formal representations against the EN and PCN:
There was no breach because:
1. The video does not support the alleged contravention because it does not show any upright signage allegedly passed.
2. The white line appears to be not fit for purpose as it is hardly visible in part.
Please cancel therefore both documents.

Put it into a pdf and be prepared for the long game.

Hi H,
I actually didn’t challenge it previously — I was waiting for some guidance and unfortunately missed the deadline.
Thanks,
Tod

Hi
Just a gentle nudge about the draft you mentioned on the 23rd — I’ve got 28 days from 17/10 to submit the challenge, so the deadline’s getting closer. Really appreciate your help with this!
Thanks
@Tod Thanks for the reminder. What was your first challenge and their rejection if any? PM sent.

Will draft tomorrow.

All of the EN please.
Hi,
I’ve posted all of the Enforcement Notice as requested, but I haven’t heard back yet. Just wondering what the next step should be — should I go ahead and submit the challenge, or wait for further guidance?
Thanks again for your help,
Tod

Hi, sorry for the late response — for some reason I wasn’t notified that I’d received your message.I just realised I’d forgotten to click “notify” on this thread, so I didn’t see your message earlier. It should be fine now.
I’ve just received the second letter from the council. Before I make the challenge, I’ll take a screenshot of the page as you advised, both before and after submitting it.
Just to confirm, the wording for the challenge should be:
“The video does not support the alleged contravention as it shows no upright signs allegedly passed. Please cancel therefore.”
Is that correct?
Thanks again for your help.

BEFORE you make a challenge, pleas screenshot the page and also afterwards as it is far too general.
Challenge: The video does not support the alleged contravention as it shows no upright signs allegedly passed. plea cancel therefore.

I am away at present but will look tomorrow in depth.

Thanks for the reply. What is the strategy here? With my previous PCNs I had to challenge first, then when rejected, take it to the tribunal where the council folded. How are we going to approach it in this case?
-
Sorry about that – yesterday the Imgur link was working, but it looks like Imgur has recently been blocked in the UK. I’ve reuploaded the files here instead: https://i.ibb.co/S49y8Q1n/PCN.jpg
Thank you for your help, Hippocrates – I really appreciate your support.

@Tod. PM received. Send us the PCN and VRM details and do not pay anything. The 14 days is just the start of the game. At the end of it, they MUST attend the hearing at the Tribunal OR their evidence is inadmissible. I am here for you throughout the whole process.
-
Well, please get your links working if you're in a hurry ! This is what I get when I click on your link: -
{"data":{"error":"Content not available in your region."},"success":false,"status":400}
Please do not redact PCN Number and car reg because we need to view their video, the sole evidence of the alleged contravention.

Hi all,
I’ve received a PCN 34J for “Being in a bus lane” on Clerkenwell Road (Zone C). From the council’s video, it isn’t very clear, but from what I remember there was heavy traffic with cars queuing to turn right into Farringdon Lane. I continued straight to bypass the queue and didn’t realise I would be crossing into the bus lane.
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation here? Do you think there are any grounds for challenging this, or is it better to just pay the reduced fine?
I only have 3 days left to pay at the discounted rate, so I’d really appreciate any quick advice.
Thanks.
